Philippines Train Travel

Much before any other mode of transport was even invented; rails had made their importance felt in the social life of the common people and political life of the country. The invention of railways actually brought people close to each other who otherwise were limited within strict geographical boundaries and gave new avenues to interact with the world at large. With the invention of modern technology new and faster modes of transport has been invited but the preference for Train Travel has not been affected mainly due to the fun that is involved in a train journey.

The Train Travel in Philippines is limited but efficient. Owing to the heavy traffic flow in the country, in Manila especially, the train service in Philippines is going to see some quick and major developments. The number of train services is going to be increased to ensure better connectivity among the provinces.
The Department of Transportation and Communication has plans to implement the Strong Republic Transit System which will look after the development of new railway lines and routes and restore the existent ones.
Railway operations in Philippines are looked after by the Light Rail Transit Authority, Metro Rail transport and the Philippine National Railways.
For a convenient travel around the city, certain services can be availed. One can go for the service from south of Manila to Naga and also the one offered by the Metro Rail Transit which links Quezon city in North avenue to Pasay City in the South Avenue.

For long journeys, the Metro train is recommended. The train service is available on Luzon Island and covers distance like Carmona and Cavite in the south and Meycauayan in the north.
